Youth Programs

Youth Programs

At Soccer in the Streets, we create pathways for youth development on and off the field. Our comprehensive youth programs include recreational soccer leagues that bring the joy of the game to neighborhoods across Atlanta, innovative school partnerships, our signature Garden FC program, and a youth referee program, where young leaders learn valuable skills while giving back to the game. Through these interconnected initiatives, we’re not just developing players – we’re nurturing future community leaders who understand the power of sport to create positive change.

StationSoccer

Soccer in the Streets and its partners are closing those gaps by building and programming fields in and around MARTA transit stations. The goal is to build “A League of Stations” whereby kids and adults can represent their own station community and play other station teams by using the public transit system. Through this new innovative place making project, our goal is to connect communities and help cultivate healthy lifestyles through sport and transit.

Soccer in Schools

School programming is essential to our value of Access. Meaningful collaboration with our school partners allows us to reach students who may not have access to the game after school. School programs can look a variety of ways, but the main priority is to ensure all students are experiencing intentional programming that grows the love of the game, develops social and emotional capacities, and builds trusting relationships and community.

Youth Refeering

Our youth referee allows kids to get first-hand experience at a job opportunity. The benefits of this program include a learning environment that promotes competency and professionalism, Financial literacy training and introduction to money management & banking, opportunity to earn money, access to opportunities for advancement within the referee pathway, and real employment experience and resume-building assets.
